Women returning to college have it tough
Women returning to college should receive guidance and support. Most of them are single mothers who became an early age, with the father of the child leaving the scene for fear of responsibility. The mere fact that a single mother is willing to study again despite her massive responsibility only shows her determination to see her child through life. As such, the government provides financial assistance in the form of educational grants to help single mothers pay for their tuition and other expenses necessary to finish college.
Single mothers grants are provided for by the government, but sadly not all single mothers can avail of this without support from government institutions or agencies. Relatives should do their part in helping a single mother take care of her child while she works towards getting a grant to fund her education. There are various options which a single mother could take in order to properly balance motherhood and being a student, but she must first be made aware of these options for her to take proper action.
Likewise, single mothers who are going back to school for nursing have a lot of obstacles ahead of them. Apart from the fact that nurses are no longer as highly demanded as they were in previous years, a nurse’s basic salary doesn’t provide much for a mother and a child’s daily requirements. Still, any job is worth holding onto and no job is without its pros and cons. One major benefit of studying nursing, meanwhile, is that a mother will learn a lot of things helpful in taking care of her child.
