Sasha Bakhru: Essential to the Field of Science Today

Author bio: Guest post is provided by Sasha Bakhru, a leading researcher in the benefits of stem cells.  Check out his website for more information.

Sasha Bakhru has made significant contributions to the fields of both science and medicine.  He works as the VP, CTO, and Co-Founder of Perosphere Inc.  Perosphere Inc. is a revolutionary specialty pharmaceuticals company.  This organization works to utilize drug designs that are known as “rescue” drugs.  Perosphere is selective in the type of chemicals and therapeutics that it employs.  They have a significant amount of patents on their unique drug delivery technology and they hope to change the way that drugs are distributed and delivered.

In addition to his duties at Perosphere Inc., Sasha Bakhru also serves as an adjunct assistant professor of medical science at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.  Bakhru graduated in graduate studies in the subject of engineering science with an emphasis in biomedical and mechanical engineering.  In his studies, Bakhru studied the design of materials and the fabrication involved, as well as tissue engineering.

Bakhru’s education has served him well in his current ventures, such as designing polymeric hydrogel-based scaffolds for ex vivo neural stem cell expansion.  He has made some very important contributions to science.  In particular, he designed a project to engineer a microcapsule-based platform that is capable of detecting the impact of various biochemical and topographical cues on both growth and diversity.

He has conducted important research on stem cells using rat stem cells.  This scientist is working to change current systems such as polymer-based drug delivery systems.  His research on his various studies of interest will be published soon.
