The benefits of DIM
For a while now, there has been no progress in the area of research in finding a cure for cancer until the time when Diindolylmethane (the compound) was discovered to have an effect on this dreaded disease when used in conjunction with Taxol, the drug that is currently the best that money (and doctors) can buy in the world today.
But where does this compound come from?
DIM has been found in the Brassica family of vegetables that your mother had repeatedly told you to eat if you wanted to grow up strong and healthy minus all the medical jargon that can throw one completely off guard.
Anyways, this discovery has also led to the conclusion that not only does this compound work against a variety of diseases but it also drops the rate of one getting either prostate and breast cancer by almost 40 to 60 percent.
And since it is currently being sold as a natural immune booster, it has also shown properties that qualify as a cancer prevention diet as well. And while several clinical trials continue to explore the possibilities that this compound has to offer, there’s no doubt that these findings are giving cancer patients around the world something to look forward to in the years to come.
And one can thank the researchers at the University of California, Berkeley for these developments!
